Health in pregnancy

A healthy pregnancy improves your chances of a healthy birth. Take these steps to help you and your baby stay healthy throughout pregnancy.

Make an appointment with your doctor right away. If you need help finding a doctor or scheduling an appointment, please call 1-800-962-8074.

Receive early and regular prenatal care. Prenatal care is the care you get throughout your pregnancy. During your prenatal visits, your doctor will check on you and your baby to make sure he/she is growing healthy. It’s also a great time to get answers to any questions you may have about your pregnancy.

Get health care advice 24 hours a day. Our Telephone Advice Nurse is ready to answer questions and help you decide whether to seek urgent care, emergency care, or schedule an appointment with your doctor. Just call 1-800-288-2264.

Sign up for our Healthy Expectations class. Healthy Expectations is for first-time moms, experienced moms and those who are thinking about getting pregnant. To register for a class, please call 702-877-5356 in Southern Nevada and 775-824-9704 in northern Nevada.
