Kids grow up quickly. We help them grow up strong. You know to take your child to the doctor when they’re sick, but it’s important to take them when they’re healthy too.
EPSDT (Early, Periodic, Screening, Diagnostic, Treatment) services are available at no-cost to children on Medicaid from birth through the month of their 21st birthday. The program covers well-child visits, screenings and preventive care.
Once your child completes their well-child visit, they may qualify for a member reward.1
Regular checkups are an important way to keep track of your child's health and physical, emotional and social development. They also give your child’s doctor the opportunity to find and treat health concerns early.
If specialist services are needed, your child’s PCP will provide a referral.
As a baby, your child needs many well-child visits. As they grow older, well-child visits become less frequent through age 21.
